The No Child Left Behind Act risks losing relevance if an innovative approach to reauthorization is not pursued, according to the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. As Congress prepares to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), of which NCLB is the main component, the Partnership has provided federal policymakers with a statement of principles (http://www.21stcenturyskills.org/documents/NCLBMemoandPrinciples0630.pdf) for infusing 21st century metrics into the Act.
