Siftables

I enjoy the TEDTalks that come my way via iTunes - and once again this one blew me away.

Louis,

I checked out your Siftables post and found the video fascinating. At the same time, I realize even more how ignorant I am when it comes to technology. It seems but a moment ago that the electric typewriter was cutting edge, I am seemingly stuck in the world of outdated technology. More important than my reaction, was the reactions of my five and three-year-old. They found the video interesting and wanted to get some of the blocks for themselves. Their reactions paralleled the reactions of the children in the video. The endless pool of creative curiosity with children is amazing to watch. My boys probably are not far behind me when it comes to technological literacy. That being said, even though I have fallen behind when it comes to being technologically savvy, I will make sure that my children are properly educated concerning all that technology has to offer. It would be interesting to see a follow-up video to see how this technology has evolved.
