Sorry to offer a negative perspective again, but the implementation of technology in school districts will require the districts to ramp up their willingness to adopt these ideas and support staff. As an example in West Allis, just last year West Allis stopped blocking YouTube videos. I had a music appreciation class I created and it used YouTube videos as examples on various music genres. Three years ago I had to fight with the director of curriculum to agree to allow the district to unblock my student's use of YouTube videos for this music class. You face a few challenges like this and you attitude toward technology gets impacted. New Teachers coming out of education schools are best prepared for technology implementations in the classroom but often bump into outdated thoughts in their administrations. My personal experience was the same. I entered teaching at age 50 and found my new ideas were not welcome by a teaching staff around me. Sad but still a reality.
